With the judgment of the 12th of May 1998 – 312 O 85/99 “Liability for links” the Regional Court Hamburg ruled that through the output of a link, ones potentially responsible for the content of the linked page. According to the Regional Court Hamburg, this can only be prevented by expressly distancing from such content.
